01. How do UpTrucks turn?
The turn in UpTrucks is similar to regular trucks.
It is smoother and with a quick response

02. How are they built?
UpTrucks are made of aluminum and urethane with a steel axle.
In the aluminum there are a series of holes.
The urethane goes through these holes, allowing the truck to work as a solid huge bushing with a unbelievable memory effect.
The axle is non slip due to the chemical bonding between the urethane and steel.

03. Isn't urethane too soft for trucks?
Urethane is a great material with a lot of control over it
It's capabilities are way over the regular use for wheels!
The urethane used in UpTrucks is not the regular wheel formula.
It's more resistant and resilient at the same time.

04. How is It adjusted?
It's not. UpTrucks come in 3 different hardness - Soft, Medium and Hard.
The hardness is related to how you like to use your truck adjustment.
Soft is loose, Hard is tight and Medium is, well, medium.
Also you can combine different hardness as Soft with Medium or Medium with Hard.

05. Not being able to adjust it, isn’t a little to radical?
When your skateboard is all set the way you like, with the bushings adjustments just "perfect", usually you don't adjust them again, unless you're changing terrain or the bushings are beginning to wear out.
In this case, you change the bushings - if you are able to take out the nut from the kingpin and put it back again, because these parts get smashed a lot, especially in street and vert, and the nut and kingpin are frequently damaged.
Then you have to keep adjusting the bushings until you feel that it is "perfect" again.
The proposal of UpTrucks is to have your "bushings adjustment" just "perfect" from factory.
You can choose from different hardness loose - Soft UpTrucks,
medium - Medium UpTrucks or tight - Hard UpTrucks.
And you can get different configurations mixing hardness
like S/M or M/H.
You can use a Soft or Medium truck in the front
and a Medium or Hard one in the back.

06. Do they have 6 holes pattern?
The Vert, Street and Freestyle models come only with 4 holes pattern (New school). The Longboard and Slalom come with 6 holes pattern (old school) and they can be used in New School or Old School decks.

07. Do they react differently in cold and warm weather?
Yes. So does the bushings of regular trucks. The colder it gets, the harder they become.

08. Does it really works?
Yes! You should try it to experience the different ride. It is easy to become addicted to it.

09. Is it heavy?
No. UpTrucks is one of the lightest trucks in the market today.

10. How long does UpTrucks last?
The life of an UpTrucks is at least the same offered by conventional trucks.

11. Is it stable on high speeds?
The hard ones are super stable, perfect for downhill and speed, or for just going fast .

12. Does it wobble?
UpTrucks are very stable due to it's one piece construction.
Obviously you should not use a soft one for high speeds.

13. Why the design is odd?
Skateboarding trucks of today are based on a 30's design of roller skate trucks, with minor modifications.
UpTrucks is a new design in trucks.

14. Who makes UpTrucks?
Tecpolimer makes UpTrucks. In 1988 Tecpolimer started Moska wheels. The expertise in the manufacture of high performance polyurethane elastomers, as well as our rad skaters help have made Moska the best wheels in Brazil, and one of the best in the world. Since the beginning, Moska's raw materials are the same used by the best US wheels manufacturers. So after 14 years dealing with urethane, in august 2002 UpTrucks was released, with a new revolutionary design. A one piece truck made of aluminum, steel and..urethane. The first trucks began to be sold on august 2003.

15. Is it made in Brazil?
Yes. Brazil is the second skateboard power in the world, being behind only of the USA, who invented the Skateboard. Brazilian people are very creative. Today Brazil holds the first position in WCS vert ranking, and we've been Vert and Street #1 more than once.

16. Does urethane gets softer over time?
Yes. But it will take a long time for this to happen.
There's a fatigue machine at the factory that simulates the use of the trucks.
Our trucks are submitted to more than 90,000 cycles (one for each side, until it touches the Anti Wheel Bite Device) without any fatigue signal.
That’s a lot of sessions."

17. Does UpTrucks slide well on grinds?
Oh yeah! There is a thick & smooth hard aluminum beam on the hangers with plenty of room for grinding and sliding. And with no hangups, since there's no kingpin!

18. How come it doesn't have a kingpin?
The design of the truck makes it work as a gigantic bushing.

19. What are the differences on Soft, Medium and Hard UpTrucks?
Differences in hardness are related how you like to use your trucks adjustment.
Soft is loose, Hard is tight and Medium is, well, medium.
If you are still wondering about truck adjustment, please read the topic
"Not being able to adjust it, isn't too radical?"

20. The difference of hardness means difference of urethane?
No. There’s a “wing” and a “column” in the urethane’s body that are responsible for the tightness of the turn of the truck. On the S model the wing and column are  thin. On the H model they get thicker.

21. What kind of models does UpTrucks have?
The models are:
Freestyle - 109 mm Phase III -  FM (medium)
Height – 57 mm
To be used with maximum 58 mm wheels

Street - 129 mm Phase III - SS (soft), SM (medium) and SH (hard)
Height – 55 mm
To be used with maximum 55 mm wheels

Vert - 145 mm Phase II & Phase III - VS (Phase II - soft) and  VM (Phase III - medium)
Height – 57 mm
To be used with maximum 60 mm wheels

Slalom - 110 mm/130 mm Phase II - SLS (soft) and SLM (medium)
Height – 63 mm
To be used with maximum 65 mm wheels

Longboard - 181 mm Phase II - LS (soft), LM (medium) and LH (hard)
Heights – 60 mm (LH) and 63 mm (LS and LM)
To be used with maximum 80mm wheels

22. What is the difference between Phase II and Phase III?
On Phase II the back nuts are placed inside the truck's body.
On Phase III the back nuts are placed outside the truck's body
L, SL models are Phase II.
S and F models are Phase III
VS model is Phase II and VM model is Phase III

23. What is the Anti Wheel Bite Device? How does it works?
It’s an aluminum or steel piece that goes under the truck’s baseplate, that prevents the truck from turning too much, avoiding the wheel to touch the deck. The turns on UpTrucks with the Anti Wheel Bite Device are continuous and steady.

24. Can UpTrucks be damaged easily?
Not really. The urethane used in the trucks are formulated to resist the stresses associated with the riding. While riding you will not be able to find sharp edges to cut it or solvents to attack it chemically.

25. Can uptrucks take the impact without damaging it?
For sure. Urethane is perfect for dampening impacts. The axle and hanger may suffer deformations, like a conventional truck, when the impact is exaggerated.

26. No one have them. So this mean they're no good?
Not at all! UpTrucks was released in august 2003 in Brazil and since then we are working on details to improve it.
Lot’s of changes have been made according to our team’s suggestions.
The product now is mature and we will be more aggressive on sales, although the improvements will never end.

27. What are Uptrucks Warranty and Safety Instructions ?
UpTrucks, is a skateboard truck made of urethane, aluminum and steel, and is a worldwide-patented invention.
It has a unique design, not alike any other truck in the market. It performs and wears out also differently.
Below we specify what is normal wear, and what is manufacturing defect, subjected to the guarantee.
Skateboard Trucks as well as wheels and decks, are parts that are subjected to wearing out and impact, having a limited life, that can vary from a few days to some years, depending on the skater’s use.
Any truck breaks, and the great majority of the breakings is not a manufacturing defect, but results from wearing out and fatigue due to the long use or abuse.
Trucks suffer some stresses and attacks that will destroy it:

28. What are Moska Complete Skateboard Guararantee and Safety Instructions?
Moska Skates uses high quality components, Moska Wheels, in the market since 1988, recognized as professional level, and UpTtrucks, urethane pro trucks, that gives unique characteristics to our Skates.

The mounted components of Moska Skates suffer natural consuming with the use.
Consuming is not defect.

A manufacture defect is rare. If there is any, it will appear in the first days of riding. So if you think there is a manufacture defect on your Moska Skate, don't wait until it starts to consume, or to break, before you ask for evaluation.
Consume makes our evaluation impossible.
Broken consumed boards are faced as bad use, not being eligible for the guarantee.

Actions that configure bad use:
to leave the skate at the sun or rain or to ride in wet terrain (the deck will
absorb humidity and it will be become deformed, the bearings will be destroyed)

to ride in super high speed, making the wheel to melt

to ride with loose settings (all bolts and nuts must be tight and can get
loose with the use)

to modify any configuration of Moska Skates

to submit Moska Skates to high impacts and overloads, not on regular
use (to get run over by a vehicle, to use it to carry heavy loads)

cuts caused for cutting surfaces in trucks

exposition to solvents, extreme heat or cold.
